Day 1 - Called to Create

There's a lie most Christian entrepreneurs have believed for years.

It goes something like this... your business is the thing you do to pay the bills, and your faith is what you do on Sundays. Two separate worlds. And if you really wanted to serve God, you'd quit business and go into "proper" ministry.

But that's not what scripture says.

Look at Ephesians 2:10 again. You are God's handiwork. Not your business... you. And God prepared good works in advance for you to do. Not just praying and singing on Sundays. Good works. Practical, real-world, hands-in-the-dirt work.

Your business, the one you're building right now, is part of that. It's not separate from your worship... it IS your worship.

I had to learn this the hard way. Back in 2009, I lost my business. Everything I'd built came crashing down, and I honestly believed God was angry with me for chasing money instead of ministry. But in the middle of that mess, I had an encounter with the Holy Spirit that changed everything. My business wasn't the problem. The way I'd been doing business was the problem.

God wasn't calling me out of business. He was calling me into business... His way.

The same is true for you. The skills you have. The ideas that won't leave you alone. The customers you serve. The problems you solve. None of it is an accident. You were made for this.

When you sit down at your desk today, you're not just running a business. You're outworking your calling.

Today's Action Step:

Before you start work today, take 30 seconds.

Place your hands on your laptop, your phone, or your notebook...

...and pray this one sentence:

"Lord, this work is for You today."

Prayer:

Father, thank You for designing me with purpose.

Thank You that my work isn't separate from my faith.

Help me see my business through Your eyes today.

Show me where I've been treating it as just a job, and teach me to bring it before You as worship.

Holy Spirit, fill my work today.
